This week in class we have been asking….

Can I use a range of grammar skills to write a setting description that creates atmosphere? How do I solve ratio and proportion problems? Who were the Vikings? How do Hindu’s build a sense of community? How is light reflected? What are the different types of variables I can create when programming? What is the best way to position your body when you are overarm bowling? What steps are needed to achieve my own dreams and goals? How can I create different affects with my pencil when sketching?

Next week we will be asking....

Is algebra, in Maths, just about letters? How do you form expressions and use substitutions in Maths? Can I use the different Year 6 writing expectations to write a quality character description? Why did the Vikings decide to raid Britain? Where did they raid? Why is the River Ganges important to the Hindu community? How do our eyes actually work? What is a visual impairment? What could I do on Scratch to improve a game? What are my dreams for the world around me? Can I use my sketching skills to create a contour line?

Our spelling rule for the next week will be The -ance/ -ancy/ -ant/ -ence/ - ency/ -ent suffixes including:

ascent, crescent, delinquent, descent, efficient, excellence, exuberant, frequent, hesitant, indignant, innocent, magnificent, obedient, sufficient
