This week, in Forest School, we learned how to make shelters. We used the same knots we had learned when making our Christmas Tree decorations. We worked in groups and had to choose from different materials, such as sticks and leaves. In Science, we learned about what makes a balanced breakfast. Together, we researched different food groups and their calories for a Full English breakfast, or cereal. We found out that Full English was better because it was more balanced and most likely would keep us fuller for longer. In PE, we been learning tennis skills. We used bounce ball passes, and we learned that it is important for the tennis ball to hit the centre of the tennis racket. For our History key piece, we created a conversation between an Ancient Egyptian and a Prehistoric Briton, thinking about what they might say to each other if they ever met.
Next week, we will be finishing our Key Pieces of work for this half-term and have our Magna trip to look forward to on Wednesday.
Our Flashback 4 questions this week were:
1.What is stippling?
2.What is a theist?
3.What is this bone called?
4.What is a nomadic lifestyle?
Our spelling rule next week is “n‘’ sounding words: apparent, controversy, correspond, recommend, contact, contract, environment, knowledge, reign, innovation, examine, examining
Our PE days are Tuesday (indoor) and Friday (outdoor)
