This week in Year 5, we have shown kindness by being positive and complimentary about each other’s art work when we did our sketching. In forest school, we showed kindness by taking it in turns when doing the different knots.
This week in Year 5, we have shown courage by having a really good go at doing our own version of hyper-realistic portrait and not giving up. Mrs White came in and was really impressed at all of our efforts. We all showed a lot of courage when we completed our Reading and Maths tests on Thursday.
This week in Year 5, we have shown curiosity by trying different techniques in our sketching work and seeing which ones worked. In Jigsaw, we had to make up our own game using a random object – we needed to be curious about the object to see what we could come up with.
Next week, we will be writing our own version of a chapter from ‘The Explorer’ trying to create mood, atmosphere and show character development. In Maths, we will be looking at rounding numbers. In the afternoons, we will be learning some animal names in French. We will be focusing on pulleys, air and water resistance in Science and looking at Judaism in RE.
