This week in class we have been asking, “What sort of things would a Prehistoric Briton say to an Ancient Egyptian if they could have a conversation?” For example, the Briton might ask, “Do you believe in the afterlife?” and the Egyptian would reply, “Yes, we believe we travel to the Field of Reeds when we die.” In Science, we asked, “What are the best foods to make a balanced diet on a plate?” We labelled our plates with foods and why they are good for our bodies. In Jigsaw, we asked, “What is the best way to learn and how can we work well in a team?” We learned that compromise is important, so everyone gets something they want and that we learn by making mistakes and trying again. In Maths, we have started learning and length and perimeter and asked, “How can we use a centimetre ruler to measure millimetres?”
‘Our 'Flash Back 4' questions were:
1.How do you make a slip in Art?
2.What is a server?
3.Je Joue du voilon means what in French?
4.What is an organism?
After half term we will be asking, “What does a plant need?”, “What was Mecca like?” and “How is the Earth structured?”
Our spelling rule next week is ‘m’ sounding words, such as: lamb, cemetery, determined, embarrassed, common, condemn, familiar, overcome and thumb
