This week in class we have been asking, “How can we make a realistic portraiture?” We practised adding different tones of skin colours to add dark and light areas to different facial features. In Science, we asked, "What is friction?" We carried out an investigation to see which material had the greatest friction in slower down a car on a ramp. Astroturf had the greatest friction and wood had the least amount of friction. In Maths, we’ve been learning how to read an analogue clock to the nearest minute and a digital clock. In Computing, we’ve been learning how to program a Sprite on Scratch. In Dance, we’ve been learning more of our dance routine, which we will rehearse next week. In Music, we’ve been asking, “How can we improve our singing performance?” We’ve practise different actions to go along with our dragon song.

Our 'Flash Back 4' questions were:

1.Muslim woman interpret the Quran differently because of what they wear. What do they do?

2.What is friction?

3.Can you name 3 countries in Europe? Can you name the ocean and sea that boarders the UK?

4.There are 3 parts to the Stone Age. Which one is missing?
 - Palaeolithic
 - Mesolithic
 - N________________

Next week, we will be asking, “How can we code a musical instrument using Scratch?” and “What is an abstract noun?”

Our spelling rule next week is ‘ie’ sounding words, such as: confirm, herbivore, permanent, persistent, transfer, research, calendar, referred, father and farther
