This week the children have been starting secondary ready preparations with a timetable of lessons more similar to what they will experience next year.  They have been investigating separating mixtures back in to their component parts, looking at climate zones around the world, asking big questions about the meaning of life according to Hinduism, writing a story using MacBeth as a stimulus, converting measures, drawing graphs and considering the treatment of the Windrush generation in post war Britain (It’s been a busy week).

Next week we will be continuing with all of the topics we have started so far.  Our writing will continue on MacBeth.  More work on climates around the world, Democracy, Power and Empire in history will also come up.  Computing is a new topic that involves programming micro:bits to perform a variety of functions.  The days are busy but it’s good preparation for next year.
