This week in class we have been asking....

Can I read and write numbers to 10,000,000? What are ‘Powers of 10’ in Maths? Can I identify and use main clauses in writing? Can I identify and correctly use conjunctions in sentences? What are internet addresses and how do they work similarly/differently to normal addresses? Who were the Anglo-Saxons? Can I read/write/say dates in French? What does it mean to be a Global Citizen? What do we mean by the term ‘God Incarnate’?

Today: Which people, from Scotland, came to invade England after the Romans left?

This/last week: In Computing, what does ‘DNS’ and ‘IP’ stand for?

This term: What are the four different nouns you can have in grammar?

Last term: What is the difference between democracy and autocracy?

Next week we will be asking....

Which place value columns do we need to look at when rounding any integer? How do we calculate differences between positive and negative numbers? What does a formal letter look like? Are there different types of adaptations in animals and why do they have these? How did Anglo-Saxon Britain change? Do place names around us have links to Anglo-Saxon times? What is a data packet? Are the needs of children working on Cocoa Plantations in Ghana being met?

 

Our spelling rule next week will be ‘The -ing suffix’ including:

baking, coping, copying, crying, grabbing, hinting, joking, landing, marrying, mopping, poking, skipping, smiling, writing
