This week, In Art, we began our key pieces: creating a cave-style painting. We used watercolour to create a flat wash then we used poster paint in spray bottles to recreate cave-style handprints. Tomorrow, we will use other media (charcoal and chalk pastels) to draw our extinct mammals. In French, we’ve been learning the names of different animals. For example: un cheval (horse), un oiseau (bird) and une souris (mouse). In Forest school, we’ve continued to learn different notes called a clove hitch. In PE, we’ve been learning different athletic skills, like jumps, running and throwing.
Our “Flashback 4” questions this week were:
1.Name two things historians think Prehistoric Britons believed during the Stone Age.
2.The dove and light are two symbols found in Christian art about the Trinity. What do they represent?
3.Name two ways you can add watercolour to paint a background.
4.Which is bigger, a county or a region?
Next week, in RE we’ll be asking, “What is the Pentecost?” and in Jigsaw, “How can words harm?”
Our spelling rule next week is “or‘’ sounding words: corgi, corner, cornering, ordinary, export, import, audio, audience, audible, organise, overall, source
Next week, our PE days are Tuesday (indoor) and Friday (Santa Run)
