This week, in History, we were asking “What did the Ancient Egyptians developed?” We learned that they developments in dentistry, being some of the world first dentists. They built over 100 pyramids and one of the most famous is called Giza. They buried their Pharaohs inside with grave goods they would need for the afterlife. The also developed a 365-day Calendar using maths and the moon to calculate these days. They had 12 months like us, but each month had 30 days, which left 5 days a year that didn’t have any month. In Art this week, we finished our key pieces of still life objects, using composition, shading and mixed media. We also finished our Jigsaw group project. We had to work in a team to budget and design a garden for a group of people: people who have a physical disability, people who are poorly and are in hospital, or city children, who don’t have access to a garden. In PE this week, we had some special visitors come to teach us some tennis skills.
Next week, we will be completing our History and Science key pieces. We will be researching which foods make the best breakfast and thinking about what an Ancient Egyptian and Prehistoric Briton would say to each other if they could have a conversation.
