This week in class we have been asking.... How informative are our biographies?  What information can we get from statistics?  How do we use databases?  Can we perfect our technique of walk, spin and jump in gymnastics?  Can we explain the water cycle?  Can we explain gestation in other animals?  We will also be taking part in two trips next week to Hull Truck Theatre on Tuesday and Jorvik Centre on Friday.

Our ‘Flashback 4’ questions were….

2.This/last week: What's the difference between oviparous and viviparous?

3.This term: Why do we have different diets?

4.Last term: How do we evaluate a piece of music?

Next week we will be asking... Can we retell some of Shakespeare's work in our own words?  Can we read and interpret timetables?  What is the journey of a river in North America?  Can we apply evasive skills to game situations?  What happens when we grow up?  How do we use search tools in a database?

Year 5 are now having their PE sessions on a Monday and Thursday.

Our spelling rule next week will be the sound 's' and will include the words: prophecy, prophesy, guest, guessed, past, passed, sincerely, sacrifice, section, dissect, whistle, civil.
