This week in class we have been asking: In science, what is the moon for? In computing, what tools can I use to make a picture? In Jigsaw, what are compliments? In design and technology, how can I make a picture move on my Christmas card? In Forest school, what could I forge to make a reindeer decoration?
Our Flashback 4 Questions have been:
Today: In writing, give me a word that we can use to start off a question.
2. This/last week: In history, what did we learn from the artefacts
about music?
3. This term: In Jigsaw, what could we do if we think someone is being bullied?
4. Last term: In art, what is the difference between abstract and representational art?
Next week, we will be recapping all of our learning across this term in science, history, music, Jigsaw, RE and DT to create our Key Pieces of learning for the term.
In Phonics, Mrs Lawson’s group will be recapping all of the Set 2 sounds and Miss Kay’s group are starting the Set 3 sounds. (see sounds mat in Reading Book Bag to support your child further).
PE Days: no PE next week due to the rock Steady concert on Monday and the Church service on Wednesday.
Book Bags: please send your child with their books on a Monday to be changed for the week. I have now included the book they have been reading in their Phonics lesson and they can choose a ‘free reader’ from the classroom as well as their reading book so they have extra to read. If you think they need extra time to become fluent with their Phonics books, then please keep them longer.
