This week in class we have been asking....

Which place value columns do we need to look at when rounding any integer? How do we calculate differences between positive and negative numbers? What does a formal letter look like? Are there different types of adaptations in animals and why do they have these? How did Anglo-Saxon Britain change? Do place names around us have links to Anglo-Saxon times? What is a data packet? Are the needs of children working on Cocoa Plantations in Ghana being met?

Our ‘Flashback 4’ questions were….

Today: What year were the Vikings defeated and England was united under one true king?

This/last week: Can you name the three different types of adaptations in animals and plants?

This term: Name 3 different subordinating conjunctions.

Last term: What is the name given to a religion that only believes in one god?

Next week we will be asking....

Can I structure a formal letter of application using a formal tone? Do my paragraphs have a theme following a topic sentence? What is the best way to find common factors and common multiples? Can I find all prime numbers up to 100? In Science, what do we mean by the word ‘variation’? How do people work together when they are not in the same room? Where in the world is Sutton Hoo and how is it linked to the Anglo-Saxons? Can I become an archaeologist? Why did Jesus have to die?

Our spelling rule next week will be ‘The -ed suffix’ including:

crammed, cried, dripped, ferried, hoped, imagined, jumped, married, mixed, mopped, popped, smiled, suggested, trimmed
