This week in class we have been asking....
What is it like to go on a residential trip? Will I be able to show resilience in activities that may be challenging? Can I work well with others in both a team and supporting them in different tasks? Am I able to step out of my comfort zone in order to develop my confidence further?
The answer to all of the above is: YES. We all loved our first residential trip with school and we made our school proud. We showed resilience and stepped out of our comfort zone whilst we went on a forest walk, completed an orienteering task in the dark, found gems in a caving challenge, used teamwork to complete a low ropes course, became archers, zoomed down a zip line, solved problems as part of a team and abseiled off a viaduct bridge – what a trip it was!
Next week we will be asking....
How do I use quotes in a news report? Can I use informal features of language when writing quotations? Which skills are needed to find fractions of amounts? What is the difference between a battery and a cell? Why do we need to be aware of copyright when making a website? How do our own actions impact the environment? Why do some people decide to ‘bully’ others? How do you make hummus?
Our spelling rule for the first week after half-term will be The -ation suffix including:
accusation, admiration, anticipation, exclamation, graduation, hesitation, information, multiplication, observation, punctuation, quotation, radiation, registration, sensation
