This week in class we have been…..
Having a very interesting week! We have entered a writing competition for creating a 100 word story about a magical map. We have started our next unit in Maths: Ratio. We have also spent a lot of time creating different pieces of Christmas art from Baubles made from sticks in forest school to nutcracker drawings, elf door hangers, gonks and fold up cards. Have a Merry Christmas from everyone in Year 6.
Next term we will be asking....
What different grammatical techniques do we need to use when we are creating setting and character descriptions? What punctuation is needed to create dialogue in writing? How do ratio and fractions link in Maths? How does light travel? How do Hindus build a sense of community? What is needed to program code using Scratch? How can I improve my sketching skills?
Our spelling rule for the first week after Christmas will be The ‘cial’ and ‘tial’ endings including:
artificial, beneficial, confidential, crucial, essential, facial, influential, official, partial, potential, social, special, substantial, torrential
