This week, we challenged ourselves to make a 3D Christmas card with a pop-up Christmas tree inside. It was tricky to measure and fold the paper correctly, however we did have some successful ones. In Forest school, we finally finished our Christmas tree decorations using different knots, such as: lashing knot, clove hitch and lee knot, which helps us with the clove hitch. We then decorated them with different gems and coloured pompoms. On Monday, we enjoyed watching the Rocksteady concert. We got to watch our fellow year 3 classmate play the electric drums in her band and in computing we made Christmas-themed animations using iMotion on the iPads.

After Christmas, we will be asking: ‘Who were the Egyptians?’ ‘What is still life?’ And ‘What are nutritional needs of humans?’
