This week in Year 2, we have been reading ‘The Treasure Chest.’ It was about a group of children, who used a magic key and transported to their fish tank and found a treasure chest. We also read ‘The Faraway Tree.’ Where the characters went to the land of goodies and saw a house made out of candy.  

This week in Year 2, we have been learning all the different ways to make 10. We also learnt how to draw lines of symmetry on 2D shapes. We now know the names of their properties: vertices, faces, edges, corners and sides.  

Next week, we will be asking, “Which is the most popular everyday material?”
