This week in Year 2, we have been reading about Florence Nightingale and Elizabeth Blackwell. We learned that Elizabeth Blackwell wanted to be a doctor but she couldn't because she was female. Florence Nightingale was a nurse in the Crimean war, who helped injured soldiers.
In Maths, we have been learning properties of 2D and 3D shapes, such as faces and vertices.
In History, we have learned about Mary Seacole who was a women from Jamaica who built a hotel to help injured soldiers in the Crimean war after she was told she couldn't go because of her skin colour.
