This week in Year 2, we have been reading a poem called Gruff and Dave that was about grumpy, jumpy dog and a grumpy, jumpy frog. We also continued reading The Ice Monster by David Walliams. The character Elsie has just tried sneaking into the Natural History Museum in London when Queen Victoria came to see the Ice Monster. 

In Maths, we have been learning to count pounds and pence. 

In History this week, we had special visit from Mary Seacole on zoom, who told us the story of her life. In Art, we been sketching special items of key Victorian women: Florence Nightingale, Mary Seacole and Elizabeth Blackwell.
