This week in class we have been asking.... How informative are our biographies? How do we calculate area and perimeter? How do computer databases work? Can we locate North America on physical maps? Can we explain gestation in humans? What was the impact of Roman conversion to Christianity? Can we perfect our technique of walk, spin and jump in gymnastics?
Our ‘Flashback 4’ questions were….
1.Today: Why was Britain so difficult to control?
2.This/last week: What's the difference between oviparous and viviparous?
3.This term: Why do we have different diets?
4.Last term: Who were the rulers of the Egyptians and Mayans??
Next week we will be asking... How informative are our biographies? What information can we get from statistics? How do we use databases? Can we perfect our technique of walk, spin and jump in gymnastics? Can we explain the water cycle? Can we explain gestation in other animals? We will also be taking part in two trips next week to Hull Truck Theatre on Tuesday and Jorvik Centre on Friday.
Year 5 are now having their PE sessions on a Monday and Thursday.
Our spelling rule next week will be the sound 'r' and will include the words: remember, cemetery, foreign, harass, hindrance, prejudice, wrap, correspond, rhythm, profession, programme, pronunciation.
Our Graduate Award that we are working towards is the little people big dreams series of books.
