Children in Need with Radio Humberside
We have a special guest visiting on Wednesday 16th November… PUDSEY Bear!!! He is visiting us with Kofi Smiles from BBC Humberside radio!!
On his way into school, EYFS and Years 1 &2 will be on the playground and the path up to the school field with spotted flags and waving colours.
The wellbeing ambassadors will be in the outdoor classroom waiting for Pudsey and Kofi.
The whole idea of this event is that Children in Need are focusing on Mental Health, so Kofi is walking and talking. He is walking from Hull to Withernsea. When Kofi arrives on site, the wellbeing ambassadors need to set him a 10-minute challenge – the challenge is to do the daily mile with them. He can walk or run…. Or they can make it fun and ask him to skip, hop, dance, etc! He will be joined by Years 3, 4, 5 & 6, all completing the daily mile as well.
We are very mindful of children who do not have external photo/video consent. Mrs Roberts will stay with the children who do not have this.
On Friday 18th November (Children in Need Day), we welcome the children to attend school in SPOTS! The challenge for the school on this day is to do the daily mile with another class, a class that they don’t normally do the daily mile with, this will encourage them to talk to others. Again, either walking or running, or making it fun!
On Friday 11th November, this Friday, Mr Copley and the Wellbeing ambassadors will be interviewed LIVE ON AIR by Kofi about the event and about our school!! Please have a listen!
If you would like more information, please contact us either through the school app or email.
