This week in class we have been asking: In computing, how can I make a robot move? In geography, what direction am I travelling in? In RE, what is important to Jewish people and what is the name of their special building? In PE, how can I transition from one balance to another smoothly? In Science, do all trees lose their leaves and how do pumpkins grow? In music, what does it mean to improvise? In art, who was Piet Mondrian? In Jigsaw, how does being proud make me feel? In English, what are nouns and verbs?
Our Flashback 4 Questions have been:

1 less than ___ is __. __ is 1 less than __
2. This/last week: In science, we have learnt that inside a pumpkin is? What
did we learn they can be used for?
3. This term: In computing, using the Beebots, we learnt a word that means the same as instructions beginning with the letter C. What is it?
4. Last term: In Phonics, you all used Fred Fingers to spell words. Show me Fred Fingers to spell the word spell?
Next week, we will be asking: In geography, what is a human and physical feature? In Religion, what is the story of Noah’s Ark? In computing, how do I combine commands to make a sequence? In science, why do some trees stay green all year? In maths, what does it mean to compare numbers? In Jigsaw, what are consequences?
In Phonics, Mrs Lawson’s group have been learning the sounds ow (snow) oo (zoo) and oo (look). Miss Kay’s group have been learning oy (toy) ou (shout) and ee (greenj), (see sounds mat in Reading Book Bag to support your child further).
PE Days: Tuesday and Wednesday. The cross-country has been re-scheduled for next week. Please ensure your child has a full kit including footwear and has removed any earrings on the morning before.
Book Bags: please send your child with their books on a Monday to be changed for the week. Please read the book several times until they are fluent and no longer sounding out all the words.
A big Thank You for sending your child with suitable gear for our trip on Tuesday. The weather was not on our side, but the children still loved it and were brilliant.
