This week in class we have been recapping all of our learning across this term in science, history, music, Jigsaw, RE and DT to create our Key Pieces of learning for the term. Due to missing the Church, we found time to decorate some biscuits as an end of term treat.

Our Flashback 4 Questions have been:

  1. Today: In writing, what might we need instructions for?

2. This/last week: In science, is the moon a light source?

3. This term: In DT, what forces do we need to be able to make the sliders move?

4. Last term: In geography, where would you be if you were looking

at a bird’s eye view of our school?

Next term, we will be asking: in geography, where do we live? In science, what material is a hat made of and what are its properties? In RE, who made the world? In Jigsaw, what is a goal? In computing, what is data?

In Phonics, after the latest assessment, the children will be in different groups so check their bookbags in January.

PE Days: our days will return to Monday and Wednesday

Book Bags: please send your child with their books on a Monday to be changed for the week. I have now included the book they have been reading in their Phonics lesson and they can choose a ‘free reader’ from the classroom as well as their reading book so they have extra to read. If you think they need extra time to become fluent with their Phonics books, then please keep them longer.
