This week in class we have been learning: in art, how can I make a sculpture like Charles McGee? In geography, what features can we find in a rural area and how do I use a compass? In science, what would the best material be for a dog’s bed? In writing, what is a synonym? In maths, how can some number bonds help us to solve other additions? We also enjoyed visiting the library van this week and choosing a book each for our class library.

Our Flashback 4 Questions have been:

  1. Today: In writing, give some synonyms for cold.

2. This/last week: In Jigsaw, how can we stretch our brains?

3. This term: In RE, how many days do Christians believe it took God to make the world? Name the things that he made.

4. Last term: In history, how can a source help us to learn about the past? What is a source?

Next week, we will be retrieving everything we have learnt this term to make the key pieces for our books.

In Phonics: most of the children are now learning the Set 3 sounds (see sound mats in bookbags to support your child with their learning). Please continue to read and change their books regularly.

PE Days: our days are Monday and Wednesday

Book Bags: please send your child with their books on a Monday to be changed for the week. Please spend the week reading the three books that the children now have in their bags.
